Had a blocked ear all week tried the warm olive oil ect.. woke up today and my other ear started so googled and Andy came within the hour( on a Saturday) and OH MY I can hear again, felt like christmas morning! Incredible Service : Andy came out to my home address with less than 24hours notice to help me with what I had assumed to be an ear wax problem. Within about 60 seconds of arriving he had checked both of my ears and confirmed there was no ear wax but instead diagnosed another problem that I could self medicate at home. He said there was no charge for the call-out and it was only upon my insistence that he reluctantly accepted a token amount to cover his fuel. A thoroughly affable and decent chap whom I am happy to wholeheartedly recommend without hesitation.

Fed up with having to wait or being unable to get an appointment with our audiologist when my husband’s hearing aids were not working l searched online for an audiologist who does home visits and came across Andy. How lucky was that search! He was with us within an hour of our phone call loaded up with all his equipment. He easily fixed the hearing aids and gave us helpful maintenance advice. What to Expect at Your Hearing Assessment

Your appointment is all about you — understanding your hearing, your lifestyle, and how we can help you hear better every day. I’ll start by having a friendly chat about your hearing history and any difficulties you’ve noticed, including how these may be affecting your daily life or conversations with loved ones.

Next, I’ll examine your ears and take high-quality digital images, which I’ll show and explain to you. This helps us spot any wax build-up or other issues that might be affecting your hearing.

I then carry out a few simple checks, including Pure Tone Audiometry — a safe, accurate test that measures how well you hear different sounds and pitches. This gives us a clear picture of the type and degree of hearing loss, if any.

Once I have your results, I’ll talk you through them in plain English — explaining what’s happening, why it might have occurred, and what options are available to help. There’s never any rush or pressure; this lasts around 30 minutes, giving you plenty of time to ask questions and make informed decisions.

Family members are also welcome in attendance, as hearing concerns often affect everyone around you — and it’s always reassuring to have a familiar face with you.
